And that wraps things up! Thanks for joining us. We’ll be back in a couple of days with the live coverage of UAE taking on Pakistan. See you then!

Rashid Khan | Afghanistan captain: We got exactly what we wanted. It wasn't easy to chase that (170) on this wicket. We wanted to score 160-plus and give the best chance to our bowlers. We have that kind of bench strength. Everyone can do the job for the team. We decide (the team combination) depending on the opposition. Having those (Ghazanfar and Noor) two spinners helped us, quite pleased with the way they bowled. They (Ibrahim and Atal) are two great players, just the beginning for them. Reading the conditions is important, we will try our best to keep them in the playing XI and let them continue. Most of the batters haven't batted much, so I tried to come down the order and let them bat more. They need opportunities in the middle and get used to it before the Asia Cup.

Salman Agha | Pakistan captain: I think 170 was gettable, seeing at the games here. I think it was a good job by the bowlers, but we lost too many wickets. We were going along well, but we lost too many wickets in the middle overs. It gets difficult after that. They (Afghan spinners) are good enough to grab the opportunities. It could have been a different story had we not lost those wickets.

Ibrahim Zadran | Player of the Match: I did play well in the last game. I have an idea how to set the game (while batting at no.3) and build a partnership. Didn't want to take pressure. I just tried to rotate the strike and target one bowler at a time. We (Atal and Zadran) have been batting together since the U19 World Cup. The trust is there. These were the things that helped us. We will try to do it in the future again. I was just trying to target the bowler at a time. I always focus on the team's requirement, that was the mindset.

Haris Rauf's 34* off 16 - This is the first time that a No.10 or No.11 has top-scored for Pakistan in T20Is. There have been four instances of their No.9 top-scoring in an innings, the last of which came against Hong Kong (41 by Aamer Jamal) during the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou.

Haris Rauf hit four sixes today, a joint-record from No. 10 or 11 in T20Is alongside four others. Akeal Hosein is the only other to have done so among players from FM teams (vs England, Bridgetown, 2022). His unbeaten 40-run stand with Sufiyan Muqeem is now Pakistan’s highest 10th wicket partnership in the format, surpassing 31* between Shoaib Akhtar and Wahab Riaz against New Zealand (Auckland, 2010).

22:44 Local Time, 18:44 GMT, 00:14 IST: Afghanistan cruise to a comfortable win, handing Pakistan their first defeat of this Tri-series. Earlier in the evening, Sediqullah Atal and Ibrahim Zadran set the tone with a crucial partnership that propelled Afghanistan to a formidable total of 169 at the halfway mark. Pakistan’s reply faltered from the outset, with Fazalhaq Farooqi striking twice in the powerplay to remove both openers. Fakhar Zaman showed some promise with a brisk knock, but was undone once again by Mohammad Nabi. From there, wickets tumbled at regular intervals, and Afghanistan’s spinners tightened the squeeze brilliantly. Mohammad Nabi chipped in with a couple of crucial wickets while keeping things tight, Noor Ahmad impressed with his control, and captain Rashid Khan was among the wickets like always. The Afghan spinners orchestrated a clinical dismantling of the opposition, wrapping it up with a 18-run victory. And don’t forget, Rauf chipped in with a lively little cameo at the end. Stay around for the presentations..
